a next generation teer
TriClover™
The Clover repair, by catheter.
StarTric’s TriClover is the first transcatheter edge-to-edge (TEER) clover repair device.
We have engineered the surgical Clover technique into a minimally invasive device, to potentially extend TR treatment to patients who do not have viable options today.

TriClover™
The Clover repair, by catheter.
StarTric’s TriClover is the first transcatheter edge-to-edge (TEER) clover repair device.
one device, more patients
Specifically conceived for tricuspid complexity.
TriClover is the first transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) system purpose-built for the tricuspid valve.
TriClover is a single, small, central implant grasps and joins the leaflets at the center of the valve to obtain the final clover configuration.
The device is conceived to perform a ‘personalized’ repair, adapting to most patient anatomies and valve configurations.

an investigational device
TriClover.
StarTric is developing TriClover to treat TR with a minimally invasive device, specifically conceived for the tricuspid valve.
01
Broad anatomical reach
Independent leaflet grasping to adapt to a wide range of tricuspid morphologies: large coaptation gaps and three or more leaflet configurations.
02
Standardized, streamlined procedure
A consistent TEER procedure in well defined sequential steps, designed for ease of use and consistent outcomes.
03
Effective Clover
The clover configuration is systematically achieved, irrespective of the initial morphology of a patient’s valve.
04
Single, small implant
The TriClover repair leaves behind only a single, tiny, central implant, mitigating the risk of adverse events.
05
Bridle, annuloplasty effect
The clover configuration has a bridle or annuloplasty effect on the annulus that may promote positive remodelling.
technology development
Preclinical.
TriClover has completed extensive ex vivo and in vivo validation.
The program is now advancing toward its clinical phase.
5 in 2

the clover edge-to-edge repair
Surgery, endoscopy and TEER.
The clover repair configuration has been pioneered as a surgical technique. It was later used in fully endoscopic approach with and without annuloplasty and in transcatheter procedures through a combination of devices.
2001
The surgical Clover.
Pioneered by Ottavio Alfieri, the surgical Clover has proven highly effective, with clinical efficacy supported by published data in hundreds of patients with up to 14 years of follow-up.
2022
Fully endoscopic Clover.
Antonio Pitsis developed a fully endoscopic Clover approach, performed in most cases without annuloplasty, achieving outstanding efficacy and durability results in dozens of patients.
2022
TEER clover using clips.
Interventional cardiologists have applied multiple first-generation TEER clips to obtain a clover configuration in complex TR cases, where a zipping repair may have resulted insufficient.
